Hydroponic Italiano

It is a cultivation method that originates from 1860 studies of two German physiologists, I. Sachs and J. Knop. They were working on how plants roots absorbed mineral dissolved in the water. It is a cultivation method that permits the plants to grow in the water.
The ground is substituted with an inorganic and porous substrate, the expanded clay, that acts ad a support and trasmits humidity to the roots in a capillary way.

There are a lot of advantages:
wetting regulated by a water level indicator: in average every 3/5 weeks;
fertilizing managed by a specific product with a slow release: in average 4/6 months;
cleaning ensured by the expanded and sterilized clay substrate;
a complete variety of plants with different needs in the same container;
total absence of ground guests.
